Home Grown Hot Rods is a one-stop shop which caters for all enthusiasts - from the home builder to those who require a turn-key hot rod.

We have been operating in Southend for a decade, and during this time have built over 20 turn-key cars, plus a great many more chassis kits for customers throughout Europe.

In spite of a full blown recession, activity at HGHR’s shows no sign of slowing down this year. Some of our longer term projects are nearing completion and in addition to this, we recently rolled out of the workshop, Hubert Hangres’ Hilborn-injected ZZ502 Chevy-equipped all-steel roadster. It’s very near to completion and will soon be off to its home in Germany.

We’re particularly pleased with Hubert’s car. It’s as different as anything we’ve done and the first car we’ve assembled with an electronic Hilborn injection system.  More >>
